Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Duration: 6–12 Months (Extension Possible)
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physician, or Dentist to deliver quality patient care and support clinical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and perform routine nursing procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assess, observe, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Report patient information and changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Support a safe and therapeutic healthcare environment.
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff performing routine nursing tasks.
Requirements:
- Active Oklahoma LPN License or eNLC-recognized LPN License.
- Level I: Active LPN License.
- Level II: Active LPN License plus one year of practical nursing experience.
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work any assigned shift or day as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in correctional healthcare, long-term care, behavioral health, or clinical settings.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
